Episode 07 (8/10 Great!)
Impression:
Isn’t it great how anime characters always know the gender of other character when the audience can’t tell if they’re boy or girl? I was sure that Krona was a girl, then Soul comes in and says “he” and I’m thinking... really? They could have played up the tension better; after all, they’re introducing a much stronger opponent. It picked up in the latter half of the episode. The writer’s perception of a “demon god” is strangely close to C.S. Lewis’s portrayal of the devil in Perelandra, which I think is funny. In Perelandra, the unman keeps Ransom up all night, calling his name then saying “nothing,” sort of like the way the demon god gives Krona a noogie.
Suggestive Content:
Lots of blood in some parts. Talk of demons and witches.
Rating:
Animation: 9/10
Characters: 9/10
Writing: 8.5/10
Pacing: 8/10
Enjoyment: 9/10
