... And even down looks up. Bad luck!
At one point, Kamijou tells Index she’s just throwing terminology at him. I felt the same way. Granted, the first episode of the series should introduce the characters and set up the world in which they live; but it’s also true that you can’t build a story on concept alone. Despite the clichés that were immediately noticeable, this show did manage to create some unique aspects for itself. I thought it was a little clever how he was trying to protect the delinquents, instead of the girl. I really like the idea of a living library...
Suggestive Content:
Index misrepresents Christianity and there’s lots of talk about psychic abilities and magic. There are references to lolicon because Kamijou’s is a little kid. (Pathetic.) Index’s clothes tear to shreds and she stands in front of Kamijou, naked, for a few seconds.
Rating:
Animation: 8/10
Characters: 7/10
Writing: 8/10
Pacing: 8/10
Enjoyment: 7/10
