Impression:
I had expected more from this. The art of the anime isn’t as good as in the manga. I had wanted something sleeker and more fluid. It has Pokemon-esque simplicity and is pretty stiff. The concept is fairly good, but not a new one and there have been many, many shows that have done better. If they wanted to join the competition, they should have done better. The character designs are interesting enough, but their clothes and hair move without weight. Not much drama or tension, either. All in all, I’d say this was a weak first episode, if not a weak show.
