Episode 01 (7/10 – Above Average)
Impression:
I haven’t found an anime so exciting for a while. This was incredibly fun. There are about 51 episodes of this, so it probably is going to be in the vein of One Piece or Naruto. What I mean is, they’ll be a premise and not an actual storyline. This is the type of show Americans make. The action is fluid and fast and the concept is imaginative. I have to say, there was a lot of fanservice. I’d say this is a 16+ show.
Suggestive Content:
Blair is a fanservice character – she has a bath scene and Soul Eater falls in with her. Soul Eater has a few nose bleeds. He talks about Maka being flat-chested a few times. Maka’s father goes to a men’s club. There is a “witch” and Shinigamis (death gods), and the point of the show is for Soul Eater to eat a hundred souls so that he can become a stronger weapon.
Rating:
Animation: 9/10
Characters: 8/10
Writing: 7/10
Pacing: 9/10
Enjoyment: 9/10
