Episode 02 (9/10 - Fantastic)
This episode delved more into the horror genre - in a way that brought more to the show. I don't usually watch horror, but I was impressed by the skill shown here. We get to see some new characters: one, Kagami's boss and coworker. The other is another Shikabane working with Keisei named Minari and I'm really looking forward to getting to know her. We also get a brief glimpse of Kagami's (or, Tagami's) past. I have this feeling he is a Shikabane, too. The action scenes were fun and engaging. They reminded me of Kon Satoshi's work, or FLCL's "creatures.
Keisei tries to give Kagami a handful of figurines, but none of them were actually provocative. There's more gore in this one; exploding monsters and such. Makina is scewered by the horn of one of the Shikabane. Three young kids turn into these monsters; this may disturb some viewers to know. The funeral is Shinto.
