Episode 01 (6.5/10 Not very Good)
Impression:
Denpa Teki na Kanojo was weird, in the way most horror stories are weird. But, one cannot compare it with Hitchcock because its writing is so full of holes. Hitchcock’s movies were stable and solidly built. This little OVA is messy and dark. It relies on the darkness of the characters’ psyche to create the horror of the show; however, a good horror movie needs strong writing. The animation didn’t impress me, either. It was too cartoonish. The characters, I should warn readers, are undeniably insane and twisted.

Denpa Teki na Kanojo is filled with dark elements, violent and disturbing images, and gore. The victims of the serial killers are mutilated. The accomplice finds pleasure in taking pictures of them. The opening scene shows a naked girl and an older boy on top of her. We find out later that the young man is raping the girl. There are also scenes of cruelty.
