Episode 05 (9/10 Fantastic)
Impression:
I was an excellent episode. With more insight into other characters and their suffering, we’re starting to see Mirai change and mature. I loved the sweet old couple. It’s a great tribute to those who sacrifice their time to grieve by helping others who are in need. I also appreciate the look into what’s happening with Mirai’s friends. Seeing Mirai cry was refreshing; I love the change that’s taking place inside her. There are many, many more middle-schoolers who need to see the selflessness of people trying to help others. The last scene was beautiful: the two children and Mari sleeping on the blanket. Watching their reliance on each other is touching.
