Eden of the East 05

Episode 05 (8.5/10 Wonderful)
Impression:
All along the way I’ve thought Saki was a weak character and a transparent heroine. I’m glad to see some development on her personality and psyche. However, I still don’t see the role she has to play in this story. It seems like she’s just along for the ride. I want her to be more active and more tangled up in the story.
Suggestive Content:
The new “savior of Japan” is a dominatrix; the episode opens up to her inspecting her last client who has died from being mutilated. There seems to be a “Johnny” theme. This is definitely going to be a 17+ show.

Eden of the East 04

Episode 04 (8/10 Great)
Impression:
I’m finally feeling the intrigue I felt in the first episode. Although, I don’t know how this show will be able to develop everything in just 11 episodes. There’ll probably be a bad pile up right at the end. I hope not, though. Akira truly is a wonderful hero; he’s strange and unique, not your typical anime hero. It’s great to see anime writers stretching themselves.

Nothing to mention.
