Clannad After Story 06

Episode 06 (9/10 Fantastic)
Impression:
The heartbreaking romance is back and although this was another side story, I enjoyed it. I’m an avid cat lover. (Though, I’ve never had a romance with a cat.) I love the fairy tale elements Key weaves in their stories. Some viewers can’t learn to appreciate it, but magical realism is my favorite genre and I can’t get enough of it. This reminded me of the Makoto arc in Kanon, only it didn’t hold a candle to the depth of emotional intensity. Still, a good story.

Clannad After Story 05

Episode 05 (8.5/10 More than Great)
Impression:
Now that Clannad After Story is starting to pick up, I can feel my heart beating louder. I love Shima-kun and I’m impressed by how consistent Misae’s character is in the flashback with her present self. Unfortunately, I’m so used to Key that I can see where this is going. Nevertheless, I’m looking forward to the climax of this side story. I wish the main characters were more than just passengers on this road trip. That see-saw the girl in the alternative world made was so cute.
Suggestive Content:
Nothing to worry about.
